Okay, so its 2 days away from christmas and no presents under the tree... I guess this time the kids will realize, Im not playing when I tell them, I cant afford something!!! To those of you who think negatively - I work my butt off (Im actually a case worker for the State of Texas), I do not recieve foodstamps or medicaid. I'm a widow with 4 boys whose husband left no life insurance or RSDI paid. I guess all I wanted to say is, there are so many people who critisize others for coming on to this site or anywhere asking for help...Nobody should judge, and Id rather a 1000x ask for help here or elsewhere than steal, prostitute myself or take a loan that I couldnt pay back.Alot of people who ask for help have thought deeply about having to do so, they have worked and tried to make ends meet on their own before asking for help from any person or agency (even our families) Anyways, Im a little down about the approaching holidays and attitudes that show no mercy just do not make sense in a time where our thoughts and actions should be those of kindness, maybe you wont "adopt" a child or family for christmas but, a smile or a kind word cost nothing and can mean so much.
